There are No Natives in Svalbard
Description
This show at the Rainier Club Art Gallery from October through January 2025 marks the one-year anniversary of my Arctic expedition To the North Pole and Back a journey into the beauty and fragility of Svalbard's changing Arctic landscape, captured through Laser Plane Photography, IoleographyTM, photographs and video.
About the Rainier Gallery
Set alongside the Rainier Club's remarkable collection of Edward S. Curtis photographs, which document Indigenous, changing cultures. The exhibit invites us to reflect on the impermanence of environmental and thriving cultural landscapes.
Arranging a Visit
As the Rainier Club is a private venue, please let me know if you'd like to visit, and I'll be happy to organize groups and personally guide you through the exhibit. Email me: ialessandrini@gmail.com
